State Police are investigating the death of 7-month-old Yankee Combee. DHS says a family member may be responsible.
Last Tuesday officers responded to a home on Redwood Lane in Alexander. Yankee's mother says she and the toddler laid down for a nap. She woke up to find the boy unresponsive. He was dead by the time paramedics arrived.
DHS says a case was opened in August because of reported 'environmental negligence', but it was dismissed due to a lack of evidence. Family members say the house was often in disarray because of the number of children living there.
A funeral will be held for the boy Saturday in Benton.

Little Rock Police have now released the name of the man who was stabbed to death allegedly by his girlfriend.
24-year-old Marvin Lucas was reportedly stabbed by his girlfriend 29-year-old Tiffany Robinson over the weekend. Police say Robinson then drove them both to Baseline Road and Geyer Springs before calling 911.

We've also got an update for you in the case of the death of a man in Pine Bluff over the weekend.
You may recall Antonio Jenkins went to a club, got in a fight, went to bed and never woke up. Police say they've arrested 21-year-old Kenneth Burton after the State Crime Lab determined that Antonio Jenkins died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Burton was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree murder.

A woman was shot in Little Rock Monday night and apparently didn't realize it.
She told police she was taking out the trash sometime between 10:30 and 11 p.m. She heard a gunshot, but thought nothing of it, so she went inside and went to bed.
She woke up Tuesday morning and saw blood in her bed and went to the hospital. An x-ray revealed she had a bullet in the back of her leg.
The injury is non-life threatening. Suspect information has not been released.

Liquor sales now legal in Park Hill — good news for restaurant owners in the area.
Tuesday, residents of the neighborhood voted in favor for alcohol sales. The vote came down to 190 in favor, 38 against.
Benton's population has grown 40% in the last ten years but they have not increased funding for police, fire and 911. Tuesday, voters approved a public safety tax to increase funding for those services, as well as an extention to a sales tax increase.
The city of Bryant also approved using a sales tax they are already collecting to build two new fire stations, replacing two outdated ones.
