2)Greg Ramon the CEO of Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority In honor of Women’s History Month and celebrating “Raye Jean Montague Day” in the city of Little Rock on March 28, the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority (LRWRA) and their “2023 women of water”will visit Little Rock Southwest Magnet High School on that Tuesday to inspire high school girls to pursue career paths in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, as well as within the water reclamation industry. 3)Pastor William Holloway with The Little Rock Compassion Center a nonprofit organization providing homeless, disadvantaged and chemically dependent people with food and clothing, as well as Biblical counseling, guidance and most importantly, the gift of HOPE. The Little Rock Compassion Center is privately funded by caring individuals and businesses. The kitchen has been running full blast for months, serving an average of 600 meals a day, and it needs a deep clean. So rather than missing a meal, the cooks will be grilling up lunch outside this Saturday while the work is going on. The plan is to cook up hotdogs and baked beans for lunch. Cooking and serving will happen outside on the parking lot – rain or shine. Breakfast and dinner will be served out of the kitchen that day as usual. Pastor Holloway says he expects a couple of hundred for the midday meal. Call 501-831-2340 to volunteer or donate.
4)Ashley McBride, State Director and Maria Hoskins associate state Director for advocacy and outreach. Both with AARP to talk about the many services provided by AARP. They are planning the AARP in action “Red Shirt day” at the Arkansas State Capitol.
