Steve H. Broadnax III, the new Artistic Director of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, brings his talents back home as a Little Rock native. He is the writer and director of The Rep’s next production, “Me and the Devil,” a world premiere play with music. Set at a juke joint deep in southeast Arkansas, the story follows a legendary bluesman who makes a fateful deal that could either change his destiny or seal his doom. With the devil close by and the blues playing strong, his legacy hangs in the balance. “Me and the Devil” shares thematic ties with the new film “Sinners,” though it was conceived years prior. Performances run May 27 through June 8 at The Rep. Tickets are available now at TheRep.org or by calling 501-378-0405.
