Two teenagers are being charged as adults for tying up an elderly woman and robbing her in Bryant.

82-year-old June Dennis said two teenagers — one white, the other black — came to the door and asked if she had any yard work for them. When she told them no, they asked to come inside to use the bathroom. Once inside, the held her at gunpoint, tied her up, and took her car.

Police found her car within minutes behind Indian Springs Baptist Church. They picked up the suspects walking down the road nearby.

The boys, one 16 and one 17, are charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and theft. Ms. Dennis is physically fine.

North Little Rock police responded to two shootings last night.

Shortly after 8:40 last night police found a male that had been shot at College Park Circle. Minutes later they received another call from nearby Silver City Courts concerning another gunshot victim.

One has non-life-threatening injuries but the other is in serious condition. Both were alert and talking when they were transported to the hospital. No other details are clear at this time.

Police have taken 37-year-old Stephen Frazier into custody in connection with two bank robberies within the same hour in Little Rock yesterday.

The first was at Summit Bank on Rodney Parham at 10:41am. Six miles down the road, the second occurred at First Security Bank on Kavanaugh Blvd at 11:25.

Police aren't sure if there was a second person involved who may have driven the suspect to the second bank. They are still reviewing surveillance video.

Severe overcrowding at the Pulaski County jail is prompting the sheriff to discuss safety and funding concerns with other local law enforcement agencies.

The head of the jail standards committee says all of the state's jails are either at capacity or well over. White County built a new jail just six years ago; it's already full. They're having the same issue in Yell County.

Authorities having to be more selective about who they put in jail, saving beds for the most dangerous offenders. A total of six counties are preparing to open on new jails.

School officials agreed to a $1,250 one- time bonus for PCSSD employees.

The payout was a compromise agreement reached after several meetings between Superintendent Dr. Jerry Guess and a school committee. It still has to be approved by state Education Commissioner Dr. Tom Kimbrell.

Fort Smith is in the sixth most miserable city in America, according to a new Gallop poll.

Even though it ranked considerably low for life evaluation and healthy behavior, it was ranked No. 12 for best work environment.

Other cities on the list include Rockford, Illinois, Baskersfield, Indiana and Mobile Alabama. Charleston, West Virginia, took the top – er, bottom, spot.
