A house fire claimed the life of a 14-year-old in White County over the weekend.

It happened around midnight Saturday at a home on the 300 block of Graham Road. Two children, ages 16 and 10, were able to get out of the house, but their 14-year-old brother was still inside.

The fire department has not been able to determine the cause of the fire yet due to the extent of damage, but foul play is not suspected.

An officer-involved shooting in Little Rock has sent one man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a loitering call around 9:30 Sunday night. When the police arrived, two suspects tried to run off, so officers gave chase. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the officers, who returned fire and hit him in the arm. He's  in the hospital, and the officer who shot him is now on administrative leave. That's standard procedure during an investigation.

19-year-old Joseph Yarberry was arrested and charged with arson for allegedly burning down the South Bend United Methodist Church in Lonoke County. Charges are also pending for three additional juvenile suspects.

The church had service as expected Sunday. The congregation was hosted by firefighters at the station less than a mile from the church. Members said they're thankful they had a place to worship after the fire.

The suspects have no affiliation with South Bend United Methodist.

Here's one for the dumb criminal files for you: Police in Memphis say a woman saw what she thought was a cocaine stash at a neighbor's home. She allegedly tried to hire a hit man to kill four men and steal it.

Turns out what she thought was cocaine was actually a block of white cheese, and the assassin she hired was actually an undercover policeman. 18-year-old Sandy Jessica Booth was arrested charged with four counts of attempted murder and four more of soliciting murder.

Booth reportedly plan to sell the cocaine so she could pay the fee to join a modeling agency.

Finally, in football this weekend, Peyton Manning suffered his first loss of the season at the hands of his old team. It was a hard-fought battle, but Andrew Luck threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score Sunday night, handing Denver a 39-33 loss.

In a confusing turnabout, Nick Folk booted a 42-yard field goal in overtime to give the New York Jets a 30-27 victory against the Patriots on Sunday.

We all knew Arkansas was gonna have a tough time against Alabama, but we didn't know how tough exactly. The number one team in the country demolished the Hogs 52-0. The Razorbacks have given up over 100 points in the last two games as this marks their fifth straight loss of the season.

The Southern University Jaguars spoiled homecoming for UAPB, 29-21 Saturday afternoon at Pine Bluff. UAPB fell to 0-7, still looking for that first win of the season.
