Little Rock Police are working case on South Monroe after suspects reportedly shot at officers.
It all started around 9:45 last night when police found two men on the porch taking pictures of themselves with firearms. When they noticed the cops, they reportedly ran into the house and started shooting. Officers returned fire.
SWAT teams were called out to assist while a chopper circled the area. One man was shot in the foot and one of the officers was grazed by a bullet.
All four suspects were taken into custody.

We're going into the second week of the government shutdown, and now there's a new round of furloughs.
81 employees with the Arkansas National Guard were told not to come in to work this week, including firefighters at the airfield. That could present a problem, since the airfield at Camp Robinson has to maintain a certain number of firefighters on staff in order for the choppers to fly.
The shutdown is also slowing the wheels of justice in federal courts by delaying civil cases. The court system's immediate future is in jeopardy if the stalemate continues past Thursday. That's when the reserve funds they've been using since October 1 will run out.

Fall is here and that means many folks will be turning on their heaters soon. There are some things you can do around the house right now to keep those bills low.
Set your thermostat to 65 degrees and be sure to change your air filter every month. Most importantly, make sure your home is insulated. Seal leaks around doors, windows and other openings. You can do that with sealant or weather strips available at any hardware store.
Firefighters also want to make sure that your smoke alarm has fresh batteries and is operating correctly. A lot of home fires start with space heaters being operated incorrectly, so be sure to follow safety guidelines.
It's best to inspect your home before those cold months get here. A few hours of work now may save you money and headache when temperatures start to drop.

The Cowboy's Dwayne Harris returned a punt 86 yards for a touchdown and set up another score with a 90-yard kickoff return, helping the Cowboys hand Robert Griffin III his first loss in his home state with a 31-16 victory against the Washington Redskins on Sunday night.
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson played pretty well through a personal tragedy Sunday. Peterson took the field two days after death of his two-year-old son. He had 62 yards on 10 carries; a solid performance all thing considered. As a team, though, the Vikings didn't do very well, losing to the Carolina Panthers 35-10 at home.
Texas Southern Tigers pulled a 41-28 win over UAPB Saturday. The Tigers improved to 1-5, while the Golden Lions are still trying to get their first win of the season. That's not a good look for the the defending SWAC champions, who fall to 0-6. Meanwhile the Hogs got spanked by South Carolina in a 52-7 loss.
