The 74th annual Arkansas State Fair begins its ten-day run today.
Since Monday, crews have been conducting safety inspections on the rides. Authorities say they want to be certain the rides are safe for families, but you need to adhere to the requirements for each ride.
If you've got your tickets already, you'll notice new barcodes printed on them. That's to help protect against counterfeit tickets and also help get a more accurate customer count.
You'll also likely notice increased security on the fairgrounds. They've added more surveillance cameras, as well as their own force of more than 40 licensed and armed security agents to keep fairgoers safe.
Our news partners at FOX-16 have some deals on tickets and a schedule printed on their site.
