1)Janice Kearny, to talk about the Celebrate Maya Project’s focusing on children and education centered around Maya Angelou’s 94th Birthday! The two-day celebration will feature a birthday luncheon with a presentation by film producer and UA professor Airic Hughes, and music by jazz trumpeter and educator Damon Tolbert, on Thursday April 21, at 11:30 a.m., at the Junior League building at 4th & Scott Streets.  To continue the Celebration, 4-time Grammy nominated performer Ruthie Foster will make her debut performance in Little Rock at the Celebrate Maya Project benefit concert at the Ron Robinson Theatre on Friday, April 22nd. 2)Jared Self, the Assistant Director of the Reentry Program to talk about Reentry Awareness week. This is the 5th year the Governor has proclaimed a Reentry Awareness week. 3)Joyce Raynor with the Healing Hearts and Spirits organization to talk about “National Crime Victims’ Rights Week” The Center for Healing Hearts and Spirits and partners will conduct a week-long awareness campaign to reduce and address violent crimes.  We invite you to join us on April 26th and 28th for a Press Conference and Restoration Ceremony at 11:30 am and April 27th from 8:30 am – 1:00for a free Virtual “Train-the-Trainer” forum dealing with violence.
