A fan was killed and another injured after a driver opened fire on French Montana's tour bus, which was surrounded by fans, in Philadelphia on Thursday night.

According to TMZ, French was riding his tour bus after his performance at Philly's Theatre of Living Arts, and as it pulled up in front of a Holiday Inn Express with a group of fans following behind, a car drove by and opened fire.

TMZ reports that two men were hit: a 27-year-old who later died, and a 29-year who was shot in the shoulder.  It's unclear who was the target, but police told TMZ that it appeared to be a dispute between two groups of fans, and that the rapper was not involved.

French, who is currently on his first headlining tour, posted a photo on Instagram shortly after the shooting showing a person seemingly being questioned by police. The rapper included the caption, "nobody got time for this sh*t."

The shooting comes just one month after French's MMG label head, Rick Ross, dodged bullets in an apparent drive-by shooting in Florida.

The next stop on French's tour, promoting his debut album Excuse My French, is Boston's Brighton Music Hall on Friday night.
