Toni's Back!

It's probably been a while you heard the name Toni Braxton.  We saw the diva reemerge in the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars and at the Benefit for Haiti Concert singing "We Are the World," along with 25 other famous musicians.  In fact, when I saw her walking the red carpet at the Grammy's looking more stunning than ever, I said to myself, "Oh yeah!  Whatever happened to her?"

But Toni's back, and we can expect a full album recorded on Atlantic Records on May 4.  The first single "Yesterday" reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs in January, and on February 9, the second single "Make My Heart" was released on iTunes and Amazon.com.  An additional track "Hands Tied" off the upcoming album PULSE is also currently available on Braxton's website http://www.tonibraxton.com/

Braxton has come a long way in the last few years.  After a heart-related illness in 2008, she told Billboard that she didn't think she'd "ever be able to do music again."

The new album is titled PULSE, because she feels she regained her pulse after much rehabilitation and some help from heart disease survivors.

The record will feature tracks that include collaborations with Trey Songz and Robin Thicke and producers Harry Mason and Ne-Yo and is reported to contain 12 tracks.
